Name:  Sandstone (Flagstone)

Geologic Name:  Ashokan Flagstone

Microscopic characters:  Clastic texture.  The rock is composed of small irregular
grains of quartz.  Shreds of muscovite, chlorite and altered biotite are thickly
disseminated throughout the slide.  There are a few grains of zircon and tourmaline.
Iron oxide and leucoxene are present.
